Gold through the ages in an Indian Wedding

In this video, the significance of gold in Indian weddings is explored from a historical perspective. As in the Vedic age- where gold glittered in the halls where a swayamvara was held- so does it shine in the weddings that came after. Be it different religions or different cultures, gold remained forever a symbol of auspiciousness and so, always sought after. The reign of monarchs begins and ends, existing traditions changed or were completely replaced by other cultural traditions, but gold as a symbol still remains constant.
